Searching for information on William Bain McKAY, born April 12, 1809, in Creich. He married Christene SUTHERLAND in Clyne on February 24, 1835. They had three children in SCT - Donald (1835), Johanne (1837) and Alexander (1839) - then immigrated to Oxford Co., Ontario, Canada, and had Ellen/Hellen (1841), Christene (1843), William (1845), Margaret (1847), George (1850) and George (1855). Christene's parents were John SUTHERLAND and Ellen. We are hoping to find William McKAYs parents and siblings. Thank you.

Hi again Diane Looked at this request for info on William Bain McKay and found that he was baptised in Kincardine, Ross & Cromarty. Questioned that it was the correct one so then looked at his own children as you had listed and found that both Johanna and Alexander were actually born in Kincardine also so think this is the correct family. William Mackay and Christian Sutherland had: Johanna, born or baptised 10 September 1837 and Alexander, born or baptised 24 October 1839 both in Kincardine. A William Mackay was christened in Kincardine on 27 april 1809, son of Alexander Mackay and Isobel Mackenzie. They also had the following children: Kenneth, born 1807; John, born 1811; Georgina, born 1814; Donald, born 1817 and Alexander, born 1820. Could this be your family?
