Hello all, Today I viewed the reel for Rogart at our local LDS centre. Is it possible that the records for this era (Late 1700's- middle 1800's) were rewritten, years ago? The reason I ask is that there was a set of records, fairly well kept, and then a second on what appeared to be on smaller paper that were quite poorly done and water damaged, with the same information. The records, of certain family members, started in 1795. There is a record of a William born to James Sutherland and Katherine Campbell,residing at Craggy Strath Brora(I believe this is the place) on April 8, 1795. The second record is for Duncan born to James Sutherland and Katherine Campbell, Dalreavoch, on February 26, 1797. Some questions then came to mind. Would it be reasonable to assume that this was the same couple(James and Katherine) living at different locations? How far apart are these locations? I know there was a daughter, but alas, there is no record for her. She was supposed to have emigrated with Duncan and their mother, Katherine, to Pictou County, Nova Scotia in 1831. I have no information for William. Can anyone shed some light on this?
