As there appears to be no children during the period 1790 and early 1800s it does seem to me that this couple were not in Sutherland. Possibly Donald was in the army or they went south returning later. John Grant or Wright was in fact a John Grant who was a Millwright. The Wright is his occupation. This can be confusing.
