This has always been a strange one. Thought I had cracked it years ago when I found many Effies to be Euphermias. Then I would find an Elspet born who later became Effy on the census. Mainly Elsie is Elspet, Eppie is Elspet but everyone really needs to check all posibilites. Be most interesting to see others thoughts on this.
