Calders have been prominent in the postings lately, leading to the discovery that Lynn Munro's husband and mine are third cousins! I am trying to find a connection between the following two Calder families: John Calder, b. 1801 in Creich, married Margret McLeod in Creich in 1825. Their children were Jessie, Janet, George, Ann, James, Christena, Donald, Georgina, John and Margaret. Robert Calder, b. abt. 1799 in Creich, married Christena Munro in Creich in 1828. Their children were Catherine, Robert and Isabella. Both families emigrated to Oxford Co., Ontario, Canada, about the same time (1832-1834). Any help will be greatly appreciated.
