    3. Diane and Lynn, Your Calder information is remarkably familiar to that of my McRaes. Alexander McRae was also born in Parish Creich, abt.1786. He married Annie (Nancy) McKay of Doola in Lairg on Dec 22,1820 and had 4 or 5 children while a tenant at Tulloch between 1822 and 1831, before emigrating to Pictou,NS in abt.1831. Is there anything in your research that might shed any light on Tulloch and the Clearances during this timeframe ? Also are there any McRaes in the Sutherland's county of Oxford publication ? As an interesting aside, I was interviewiing someone yesterday for a job and his name was Tulloch. Turns out his middle name is MacRae ! His family was from Ross-shire. We're going to follow up to determine any connections. 3. Peter - Sorry I don't have any information on the Clearances. I looked for McRaes in the N. Embro Cemetery transcript and found none. Perhaps Lynn will find them in the Oxford Co. publication. What a small world, running into someone named Ross Tulloch. My husband is from Toronto but I must sign off as currently Diane Geddes Michigan USA ------- Outgoing mail certified virus-free by Norton AntiVirus ----- Original Message ----- From: Peter McRae <[email protected]> To: bgeddes <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, October 09, 2002 10:20 AM Subject: RE: [SUT] re: Caulders > Diane and Lynn, > Your Calder information is remarkably familiar to that of my McRaes. > Alexander McRae was also born in Parish Creich, abt.1786.
