I don't know about other places, but in North America I was able to acquire a fiche reader from my local public library for the cost of taking it out of their storage closet. They were large, heavy and seldomly used relics. I was doing them a favor. I just happened to ask one day if they had any "old" fiche readers - and the librarian told me they were ALL old! And now you know. . . . . the rest of the story!
