    3. I do believe a descendant of Norman Macleod is one of my correspondents. Will look her address up if the original question was from a descendant who wishes to make contact. There are several books about him and the 'Normanites'. His followers were amongst the few who emigrated from Assynt in 1820. There is a large stone erected near the site of his house at Clachtoll. Malcolm -----Original Message----- From: Howard Blaxland [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 16 October 2002 20:19 To: [email protected] Subject: [SUT] Loch Broom I have just found out that Rev. Norman MacLeod was from Assynt, Sutherland and that he left Loch Broom July of 1817 with 400 other people for Pictou, Nova Scotia, later to Cape Breton. Would any one know where Loch Broom is or was? Also, would any one know about the ship he came in which was called the "Frances Ann".
