The following comes from the Ayrshire list with all due credit to June in Ogden, Utah: NB There has been a flurry of emails re this, the conclusion being that the Scottish 1881 census details are not yet on this site, but people born in Scotland and living in other parts of the UK are included: Good luck......edward, Limpsfield, Surrey It looks as though the US & Canadian 1880 census and the 1881 British Census are now on-line at: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp I could not get past the index of the surname I was looking at, but I'm sure it is either because of the number of people who are trying to access it right now, or because it was just put up. Their news bulletin about the censuses was dated the 23rd of October, so it must be very new. http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Home/News/frameset_news.asp?PAGE=Press/2002-10-23_Census.asp Hopefully it will link the people within each household. I wonder, though, if we can do an advanced inquiry and find the misspellings, etc., or "browse through the neighborhood." My grandmother (born in Scotland) was in London in 1881. I have a copy from the film. Yet, she does not show on the LDS Online Census version.
