HI all I decided with all the Calder talk I would take a look at what resources are here at home for me and see if I could enlighten anything to the subject it was written Would any of you recognize Ann GRANT (b. abt 1810) from Sutherland, parents unknown to me, who married Alexander CALDER (b. about 1800) from Inverness. After marriage and first child, Isabelle, this family emigrated to Ontario, Canada. After 3 more children by Alexander in Canada, he dies. Then Ann GRANT possibly remarries a John SUTHERLAND in Ontario. On cd 204 which is early marriage death and registers ....directories of Ontario....I find this entry FTM 204 Oct 18, 1848 At Beaverton, on the 7th inst Jane, wife of Alexander Calder and daughter to John and Catherine Gunn, of Thorah. C.W. formerly of Proncy, Parish of Dornoch, Sutherlandshire, Scotland This is a death....the wifes name appears to be Jane and not Ann....
