I recently travelled across the moors from Ullapool to Durness. I stopped to photograph a croftalong the roadside and found it had an inscription on its gable end. All I could read of it was "Marquis of Stafford" I was wondering what the occasion was and what the rest of the inscription said. Ian Johnston
