Free Church? sorry I must have missed that posting along with several other this past while. The Manse belonged to the Established Church. The Church at Torbreck was one of the oldest post reformation Churches in Assynt, contemporary with, or even predating Inchnadamph and certainly way before the Free Kirk, which as far as I know only had churches in Elphin, Lochinver and Store Jim Bain Fife
