There are 10 MIs for DOUGLAS. Associated names are : TURNBULL/WAUGH/DUFTON/HICKS WANLES/HENDERSON/COWENS CUNNINGHAM SPENCE GRAHAM/MERRIE/BELL/GRAHAM/DIDSBURY/DINGWELL MATHER JERDAN/DAVIDSON HERBERT/MELROSE/SHERRIFF MIDELMEST/MIDDLEMESS There is only one for MONTGOMERY but it is a 20th century entry. I can't offer to transcribe all the DOUGLAS entries but if some of the above names look to be of interest, let me know and I will copy those chosen. I have also sent the following to Mandy : "The Borders Family History Society Magazine No. 31 (June 1996) and No. 32 (October 1996) has articles on the Yetholm gypsies. I can't see any reference to the names WINTER or ROMANIS. It does say "The first gypsy settlers in Kirk Yetholm were the Youngs and then Taits. Gordons, Fleckie, Blythe and DOUGLAS". Perhaps a google search on Yetholm +gypsies might retrieve some interesting items."
