Further to some of the earlier answers, MIs for Hawick do exist as published in the Transactions of the Hawick Archaeological Society of some years ago, which you can find at some of the larger libraries. They have Hawick inscriptions for: St. Mary's Churchyard: 1935-1938, 1940 (index to names) Wellogate Cemetery (Heritor's Area): 1942-44, 1946-48, 1950, 1952 (index to names) Wilton Old Churchyard: 1937-39 (1939 includes index to names) I personally have most of the transcriptions for the 1950s and 1960s if this is any help - unfortunately I don't have the earlier ones.
