Andrew, I am interested in the SCOTT families living on Loan St., Hawick. I am descended from the WEARs who lived and died at various addresses on Loan Street. My gggrandfather, John WEAR, m. Mary (Scott) BLYTHE, c. 1837 and my ggf was b. at Loan St. In fact, there is a WEAR family living family at 14 Loan Street at the present time. I have written to them, but they choose not to reply. I was wondering if anyone on the list can tell me if the housing has been completely rebuilt or remodeled. Thanks!
