According to the "Dodgson Manuscript", Nanny TURNBULL, a native of Liddesdale Sct, married John TELFORD, of Bewcastle CUL at Haltwhistle, Northumberland in 1808. John was the s/o Thomas and Ann [ROUTLEDGE] TELFORD of Bewcastle. Thomas was born about 1747 at Bewcastle to Thomas and Mary [LINDSEY] TELFORD of Scotland. Thomas Sr supposedly was the brother of John TELFORD and the uncle of Thomas TELFORD of DMF. Thus, John and Nanny possibly were 2nd cousins to Thomas TELFORD.
