I have tried this twice before but it did not turn out right Last week I spent a couple of days in Edinburgh Record Office, which was very fruitful only it gave me more headaches. I found my Gt. Gt. Gd Parents had thirteen children, four of which I knew nothing about. Talking to one of the staff just as I was leaving, they said I should have had a look the 1861 & 1871 Census but I did not have time. So if anyone has the 1861/1871 census for Roxburgh I would appreciated if they could take the time and look up the Elder family below. They would be around Ashkirk, Kirkhope, or if they recognise any names.
