Hello Shirley I notice from a recent email to this list that you are interested in the Brotherstone and Cranston surnames. I also have a link to both surnames through the village of Ednam Barbara Cranston Brotherston married Robert Young on 19 Dec 1862. Barbaras parents were James Brotherston bap 8 Jul 1798 in Ednam who died 02 Jul 1886 and Isobella Pace who died 29 May 1887 in Innerleithen Peebles. I have copies of both James and Isobellas death certificates. James was the son of Andrew Brotherston and Barbara Cranston. Do any of these names seem familiar I would love to hear about your connections to the surnames, I have a few more details on the families of James and Andrew Brotherston.
