Thanks, Roy for the info about Minto Kaims. What does Kaims mean? Do you know what would have been there in Minto Kaims in 1895? My grandmother (GARDNER) was born there in 1895 and her father was a ploughman. A year or so later he became Farm Steward at the Earl of Minto's farm, which ??? is apparently in the area.
