Hi List I am looking for any information out there about my RAE family. Thomas RAE b. <1816> in Hawick & married Isabella OLIVER in 1839 in Sutherland. In 1851 according to the census they and their 10 children (at that stage) were in Dunnet Caithness. In 1862 two of the sons including John , my g-g-g grandfather b. 1843, emmigrated to New Zealand. A few years later in 1874 Thomas, Isabella and a number of the other children also emmigrated to New Zealand According to some other reasearch which I haven't yet confirmed Thomas's father was George RAE married to Jean FERGUSON ? Their other children lived in the Jedburgh, Hawick, Oxnan etc area. John b. 1805, Alexander b. 1807 (m. Margaret MURRAYin 1840), William b. 1814 (m. Helen MOSSCRIPT in 1841), living in Bedrule in 1851 census George b. ? Robert b. ? (m Agnes HARDY in 1849), , living in Wilton as per the 1851 census Elizabeth b ? (m.
