Hello new friends, I want to encourage people to keep researching the stonewalls. Our family had one for about twenty years. I have been persisting, and just a couple of months ago the wall was broken and I found Robert THOMPSON (Thomson, Tomson) born 20 Aug. 1722 in Bowden, Roxburgh, Scotland. He married Agnes ELLIOT (Eliott) of Selkirk, Scotland. Among their children were William, Robert, Andrew, George, Agnes, and Lucy all born in Bowden. All or part of the family emigrated to the United States. It is because of breaking that stonewall that I have joined this list. My husband is descended from Andrew. I am hoping to find ancestors of these two great grandparents. I am also hoping to find more family members doing research. We must just keep rooting..................Darlene Miller darrick@cox.net Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A.
