Hounam & Linton MI's stone 198 Erected by ADAM HAMILTON in memory of his daughter GRACE who died 1.4.1853 aged 3 yrs and MARY his daughter who died 9.9.1853 aged 2 yrs also WALTER his son who died 17.5.1865 aged 2 yrs. stone 261 Slate: Erected to the memory of JOHN HAMILTON who died at Mainhouse 1.9.1858 aged 63 yrs also JANET KINGHORN his wife who died at Morebattle 22.10.1877 aged 88 yrs. stone 262 In memory of THOMAS PENDER shepherd who died at Linton Burnfoot 14.4.1896 aged 84 yrs and of JANET HAMILTON his wife who died at Linton Burnfoot 16.2.1901 aged 83 yrs also JANET their eldest daughter who died at Upper Nisbet 16.9.1912 aged 70 yrs. These are the only three stones with Hamilton name. I hope they are yours.
