    3. Roy, I thought you were just doing Roxburghshire. When you next do the list, let me/us know if you are including other counties please. What areas do you consider Middle-Marches? Thanks, jld

    3. Hi All, Apologies but it was just a last minute idea to try it out. For maps of the Marches see www.klaidlaw.net/images Regards Roy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Judy Dawe" <dawejudy@charter.net> To: <SCT-ROXBURGH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, August 23, 2004 7:02 AM Subject: Re: [SCT-ROX] ROXBURGH NAMES LIST (Part 1) > Roy, I thought you were just doing Roxburghshire. 3. Thanks, Roy. Great maps. I always thought the Debatable Lands ran east and west across the Borders. But I see it is north and south on the eastern edge of the West March. It will help clarify things. When I've read about the marches, it was confusing because the sides in Scotland and England were described as being in opposite direction. And the photos are very nice also. jld
