Has 1871 been indexed? I think that's still a case of wading through the reels. So you might be better with someone looking them up in 1881. Given that you are looking for a James and Margaret HENDERSON, a simple lookup might send you on a wild goose chase anyway. Also, are you sure they were in Kelso, they could easily have moved to Gala for work and gone 'home' for the births. If you post the Kelso address, whoever looks them up in 1881 could check that as well and maybe find some extra relatives.
