    3. Thanks for writing, John. I will look into getting a marriage license on Andrew or John. John and Jane were married in 1838 in Plumbland Parish and Andrew and his wife, Margaret were married in 1862. I have no place, but she was born in Dearham, Andrew was born in Aspatria. I know they aren't that far apart. The marriage for Andrew's daughter, Anne, was registered at Wigton so maybe Andrew's was also. Really wasn't sure how to go about it. Talked to a professional genealogist I just happen to meet tonight and she impressed upon me how important documentation is. I think Heather de Carlo may be a distant cousin. I may even have met her long ago. I used to spend my summers in Nebraska where my Mom's parents lived. That is where all her ancestors settled when they came from Cumberland in 1885 and 1887. I believe she and I may have exchanged email earlier this year or last year. Thanks for mentioning it. Dean Lisle is also a cousin; he's related to my grandmother's side. I think Heather is related to my grandmother's side, but don't recall. My grandmother's parents were Isaac Davidson and Anne Robson. Annie's consided the foundation of our line at our Ross-Robson reunions. My personal favorite is Isaac's father, Philip. It's funny how a particular ancestor stays with you. I don't have the same affinity for my Dad's line, although I was always a Daddy's girl. His line is from Cornwall. I actually started my work there. Sorry to bend your ear. I haven't had any time for my computer or genealogy lately so I'm taking advantage of you. Thanks, Judy Dawe
