I have connections with the family who lived in Hawick and Langholm and would be interested if anyone on the list has an interest in this family. The names I have are as follows:- John Goodfellow married Helen Elliot on 5 Sept 1844, Helen Elliot was born in 1815 at Castleton. Their daughter Mary (1844 - 1914) married James Young Marshall on 7 Sept 1876. James Young Marshall (my gguncle) was born on 28 April 1845 in Greenock They had two children:- Helen Elliot Marshall was born in Langholm in 1877 died in Edinburgh in 1943. John Goodfellow Marshall MC was born in Langholm in 1882 and died in Calcutta in in 1931 Regards Bill Morrisonh
