To anyone whe is researching the name of McCARTNEY, I am researching the descendants/ancesters of James McCARTNEY and his wife Agnes PIRNIE. All I have been able to research is that their daughter Isabella married Andrew Murray SHANNON in Hawick on 24 April 1906. Andrew was killed in action on 3 December 1917 in Cambria, France.
