Hello; Mossburnforsd is a camping and caravan park just off the A68 Newcastle to Edinburgh Road, south of Jedburgh, near Camptown. As has been said there are few houses there, so I would not call it a village. My ancestors lived near there at Kersheugh, near to Fernirehirst Castle. How it came to be called Mossburnford I do not know but therew is a ford there over the River Jed.
