I found the marriage record for Andrew DUMMA and Mary SINTON on Scots Origins a few years ago. Extract # 27562951 - 1899 - Hawick, Scotland. I didn't order a copy of the document because Andrew wasn't a direct ancestor. I don't have either a Elizabeth or Robert WAUGH in my database. That is not to say that they don't fit there. I have been having a hard time finding anything about the female ancestors. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. If you are not receiving mail it's because no one is posting. You can check to see if there is a potential problem by going to http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/intl/SCT/SCT-ROXBURGH.html and browse the archives sorted into data order. If there are no messages on there for the current time frame you won't be receiving any. If there are messages in the archive that you haven't received then you may just have a problem with your ISP (perhaps). If you want to check further go to http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/ to see if Rootsweb have problem. If there is a known problem Rootsweb generally post a message here to say a) what it is and b) when it's likely to be fixed. Bob, I did a quick check of the Rootsweb Onondaga County, New York website (that's where Marcellus is located). They have a transcript of burials in Highland Cemetery on-line which includes the following: Name: Thomas Hogg, b. 1875, d. 1925 He's the only Hogg listed. The cemetery may also keep additional records-- this transcript strikes me as bare-bones (no pun intended) for details. Also they have a list of Marcellus High School graduates which includes a Katherine Hogg who graduated in 1925 If you check out the Onondaga Co. website you might find more information or suggestions for where else to look: www.rootsweb.com/~nyononda/ Hope this helps. Hi Bob, There is an Orchard St. in Marcellus, New York, 13108. You can locate it by going to http://www.mapquest.com and entering the necessary information. This may not be what you are looking for, but it's all I could find. Don

Hi Judy You mention Cross Keys on a Saturday night. I presume this is an inn Do you know anything about its history or who owned it?. It is in connection with Ebenezer Johnstone b1789 (father George). He ended up as owner of a paper in Stirling and he quoted that his father George was a woolen manufacturer in Dalkeith Galashiels, and grandfather an owner of property including Cross Keys Inn - and I don't know where this was located or even his name.. I searched on google and came up with the following site: http://www.marcellusny.com/Marcellus_NY/Marcellus.html Anne Hupert Chicago, USA On Wed, 6 Oct 2004, relder wrote: > I wonder if any of our American friends can help me. The Cross Keys is a famous pub on Denholm green. Dalkeith is some distance away up the A68. It would take over an hour by car between the two. The Cross Keys is a fairly common pub name. On the other hand, Dalkeith is not in Galashiels. Galashiels is nearer Denholm than Dalkeith is.
