I am seeking information on the following families: WILSON: Janet/Jennet Wilson, b 29 Dec 1839 at Kelso, Roxburgh; the daughter of Mr. Wilson and Mary Walker. Janet married 9 Jul 1858 at Kelso to John Todd.Mr. Wilson probably died bet 1858-1870, but I do not know where. Besides Janet, Mr. Wilson and his wife Mary may have had sons William (b ca 1855?) and Thomas (b ca 1858?). WALKER: Mary, b 1812/13 in Scotland. Possibly Kelso? Her parents are unknown. She married a Mr. Wilson before 1839. Mary Walker Wilson emigrated ca 1864 to the U.S. with her daughter Janet, and possibly her two sons. It is not know if her husband came with them or if he was already deceased. TODD: John, b 9 Dec 1834 at North Shields, Northumberland, Eng.; son of John Todd (b 1802/3 in Northumberland) and Margaret Taylor. John Sr. married Margaret Taylor 1830 in Northumberland. John Jr. married Janet Wilson 1858 at Kelso, Rox. Although these two generations of Todds were from Northumberland, I suspect that the family was originally from Scotland. TAYLOR: Margaret, b 1809/10 in Bedlington, Northampton, Eng. Her parents are unknown. She married John Todd Sr. Again, I suspect the Taylor was originally from Scotland. If any of this looks familiar, I would like to hear from you.

Hi, Janet, I have a Janet ROBSON, b.1785 in Northumberland, to John ROBSON, farmer, and Jane HEADLEY. She married Thomas WEAR at Ancrum, Roxburghshire, in 1811. The family lived in Ancrum, but as the children spread their wings, they moved around. My WEARs went to Hawick. Just wondering why the surnames aren't included in the e-mail subject line. Makes it much easier instead of receiving 50 e-mails all with the same subject heading. A suggestion only. Neil Byers
