I am researching the family of Robert Stevenson (1762-1844) and Margaret Cochran (1763-1850) of the Parish of Beith. They were married in June 1787 at Beith. Several of their children ended up in Renfrewshire. The Stevenson children include: John (1788-1886) unmarried David (1791-1843) who married Jean Lockhart Jeanie (1793-1836) who married Rev. Andrew Symington 1811 (or 1814) Isabella (1794-1848) who married William Clark (my line) Jennet (or Janet) (1796-1864) who married Hugh Miller in 1814 Margaret (1798-1880) who married John Robertson of Browhill, Beith Elizabeth (1800-1883) who married James Cunningham and Andrew Brown Agnes (1801-1866) Robert (1803-1874) of Townhead, Beith Lillias (1805-1877) who married Walter Symington Mary (1805-18??) who Thomas Struthers Martha (1807-1896) who married James Caldwell of Rockfield, Paisley If anyone is researching any of these families, I would love to hear from you.
