I`m sorry butting in here - but as usual I lose track of the original offer. My James and Rachel Smith may be on the 1841 index for Renfrew. James was born Denny but wife Rachel born ?Kilmacolm Renfrew and eldest child Rachel was born Renfrew circa 1837. Next known children Helen, George, James and Margaret I believe where born in Denny. Would you mind searching for this family for me - the only marriage I can find for James Smith and Rachel McMillan is in 1828 - making a large gap to the first known child. Maybe some died early. Hi There are too many James Smith's to be any help on both East and West Renfrew on the 1851 (I don't have the 1841) but there are no Rachel Smith's at all. Sorry.
