Hi Robbie, So far I have not come in contact with the Kerr name in Renfrewshire. The only Kerr's I have in my data base are John Kerr born 2 Oct 1792, Barony,Glasgow married Margaret Eadie 30 May 1817. John's parents were John Kerr and Margaret Hutchinson. Eadie is my great grandmother's name. Coincidently I am looking for Flemings, from the Lanarkshire area. My great aunt Margaret Douglas married James Fleming ( born abt 1850) in 1871 in Carnwath. They are in the 1881 census in Calton,Lanarkshire-James Fleming was the informant on the Death Cert. of my gg grandmother, who was Askine or Erskine Fulton Douglas (Depending on birth info or death info.) I haven't found the parents of James. I was today, in fact going on ScotlandPeople to look up the marriage. Also still living in Coatbridge is my cousin who married Jemima Fleming in 1951. Your Fleming name is likely through marriage. I have not done a lot of work on my Renfrew Lines -I also have a cousin researching in Renfrew and will pass your email on to her. Robbie you don't mention any dates and that would be a help. Let me know if we connect with Fleming and send me some dates in Renfrewshire, and who knows.
