    3. Hello Mike, Wondered if you had noticed a John Brown born c1815 at Burntshields, Renfrewshire? Would also like to find his sisters, born at Burntshields, and his mother. Mrs Janet Brown widowed in 1819 at Burntshields. Elizabeth born c1806. Isabel born c1808. Margaret born c1810. Janet born c1812. Have been unable to trace the family after the Rev Alexander Brown died and they had to move out of the manse. Old Light Burgers so not mainstream! Regards Don

    3. Hi This one is very difficult - there are three pages of John Brown's and two of Janet Browns. I think that I have to discount the sisters, they would probably be married by then and no longer using Brown (at least on the census) The only John/Janet correlation is Janet Brown, 74, Neilston, 452, 9, 5, 13 John Brown, 42, Neilston, 452, 9, 5, 14 This assumes that Janet is listed as the Head of the household with John as Son. Unfortunately John's age does not match. He should be 35. If John had married and was now head of household, I would expect Janet to be listed after his wife and andy children. The John's that would qualify by close age would be John, 34, Paisley, 461, 8, 1, 18 John, 37, Paisley, 466, 6, 4, 4 John, 35, Paisley, 468S, 3, 15, 5 The only Janet's to be old enough to have a son of 35 are Janet, 66, Abbey, 471, 12, 20, 7 Janet, 62, Abbey, 469, 6, 11, 14 Janet, 88, Neilston, 451, 4, 32, 20 Janet, 87, Neilston, 452, 8, 44, 11 Janet, 75, Paisley, 467, 17, 10, 20 I have discounted one at Eastwood living with her husband Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------------- FIGHT BACK AGAINST SPAM!
