Hi again Jane, I have found probable parents on the IGI for my Matthew Paul. They are John PAUL and Margaret WHYTE, married 30 November 1782 in Inchinnan. There is also a christening for Matthew in 1783, along with several siblings. Their names were Agnes, Janet, Margaret, Elizabeth, John, William, Andrew, James & Margret.
