Hi Mary Some one else may be better able to advise you on this. I have not used the 1851 yet as I have bought the indices to try to prepare for a visit to Edinburgh this summer. I think that the address will be on the transcription, together with occupation, relationship to head of household, occupation and town and county of birth (if in Scotland). I feel certain that somewhere on the net is a list of the registration districts, but I have no idea where.
