Hi, Mike.... I appreciate any link you can provide for me in my search. The JAMES STIRRAT I am searching was born June 16, 1799, Abbey Paisley. He married Catherine MCDOUGAL (DUGAL) 12/17/1819. I have found a Catherine (STE RRAT) in the 1851 census listed as widow. Either I have the wrong James or the wrong Catherine. I have been unable to document parents for James, but think it may have been Robert (hence their first born son). If so, that Robert STIRRAT would have to be born prior to 1779 (making him 20 when James was born.) Thanks for your help....Grace
