I am researching my gg father John Aiton who was born in Houston (near Paisley, Sct) on 10 July 1860, parents Andrew Aiton & Catherine McNair. He emigrated to Australia via the USA in the 1890s. There does not seem to be any record of his birth between 1855 - 1865.
