    3. Hi I know this is a little late, but in the 1881 census, i have a John JAAP listed as an inmate in Dunoon Seaside homes....... I am very curious as to what this place is.... some sort of Charity hospital perhaps??????? In any case, he returned to Paisley and got married within 5 years of that so I am INTENSLEY curious as to what he was doing in the Seaside homes ...... any ideas??????????? 3. Hello Kerri, A relative of mine left a will in 1875, in it she left £20 to the Mission Coast home, Saltcoats. This is not your seaside home but it suggests to me that there may have been a variety of coast homes or seaside homes funded by charities such as the church for holidays for deserving cases. Any one know more (or better!) Moira ----- Original Message ----- > > in the 1881 census, i have a John JAAP >>
