Hi Chris... So far my BRADSHAWs seem to originate in the Renfrewshire area of Scotland just south of Glasgow (and very much north from Lancashire). They seem to appear with the marriage of Thomas BROADSHAW and Janet TAYLOR at Paisley in 1827. Unfortunately, both died just before civil registration and I only have census info about them. Their children are all born in Renfrewshire. There are some early scattered BRADSHAWs from the 1700s in this area of Scotland but nothing links up to my line at present. I'm wondering if Thomas came from the northern Ireland branch of the Bradshaws but I have no proof. No apparent siblings or parents. I am on the Renfrew list too, hoping and waiting for something to turn up. Of course if I ever do trace them back to Lancashire, I'll be in for a long haul as there seems to be almost as many Bradshaws in that area as Smiths!
