Hello Bill, Rodger is my main direct Scottish line. I have them back to a birth in 1799. My biggest problem is there were many daughters and very few sons. All of my guys were named John Rodger, with my grandfather being John Hoy Rodger. His mother was Mary Patton Hoy and his father was another John Rodger. That John has helped me a bit as he went by the name of Peter. It took me a while to realise that both John and Peter were the same guy. It was John/Peter's sister who married the Galbraith. They all seemed to stay in Greenock from birth to death, except my grandfather who came to the USA in 1892. The guys were in construction - joiner and painter, etc. I do not have a Donald.
