Hello Dorothy, I am just getting started on this line and wondered where the "Malcom" came from for the middle name of a girl. Many, many I have found used the maiden surname of the mother or grandmother as the middle names for the children. It has made for fun tracking. I have [I think I have] the parents of William Hunter Galbraith [ who married Ann McKay Rodger]. William's parents were William Galbraith and Margaret Hunter who married in Greenock February 12, 1825. William Hunter Galbraith was born September 9, 1827. Margaret Malcom that you mentioned was his daughter. ......still searching and verifying...
