    3. John, There was a lot of movement between Ayrshire & Greenock for work in shipping - ships carpenters etc. I have Ayrshire Hunters who were worked in Greenock and returned to Ayrshire. Paisley is within easy reach of Ayrshire and Renfrewshire and Ayrshire have common boundaries.
