He M: Mary Guthrie, b:Oct 1829, Paisley, d/o: William GUTHRIE & Mary NEIL. Who is the correct Wm. Guthrie and correct Mary Neil? There are several listed in records. John Boyd & Mary Guthrie had several children in Paisley, including their eldest, Mary Boyd, b:Oct 1850, and immigrated to Grantham, Lincoln County, Ontario, Canada between 1868- and 1870. They appeared on the 1871 Ontario, Can. Census in Grantham, and then immigrated to Rhode Island, (RI), USA and were on the 1880 RI Census in Providence, Lincoln Co. RI. with four children, not including Mary. It is believed that Mary Boyd, dau, married: my Great - Grandfather: Alexander Clark, b:ca 1844, ? Scotland. NO MARRIAGE RECORD found in Ontario, Can. Archives. Who are his Parents? They had a daughter: "little Mary Clark, b:10 Oct 1872, Grantham, Lincoln co. Ontario, Canada. We believe that they appear on the 1880 Massachusetts (MA), USA Census in Attleboro, Bristol County, MA. with three children in house hold: 1: Mary, age 7; 2: William, age 4 (believed to be my Grandfather), and 3: "Other: male, John, age 1 year, born in Canada of Scottish Parentage. These two areas: MA/RI share common boundaries. What happened to these people after 1880? Known facts: My Grandfather, William Alexander Clark, worked in MA. in 1907; also married: 8 May 1907, in St. Joseph's Cathedral, Buffalo, Erie Co. NY, USA. to: Mary Cecelia DOYLE, b:Nov 1874 Worcester, MA. They had one known son: My Father: William Albert Clark, b:23 June 1908. These three removed to Waterbury, CT. USA by 1920 CT. Census. and later to Devon, Milford, New Haven County, CT. What happened to Alexander Clark and Mary Boyd? Who was John Clark and what happened to him? Did "little Mary Clark, dau..stay in MA? Did she happen to have a full given name of: Mary Elizabeth? Was she called "Lizzie?" and did she happen to marry a man called: "Everett LaBonte?
