Hi folks. We are researching the LANG family who appear to have originally come from Kilmacolm and Kilwinning but the last members we have found were in Springburn about 1920. Does anyone have these Lang's in their Family Tree. William Lang & Martha (Smith) Married 1818 Kilmacolm Only child of this marriage we have found was Alexander born 1818 Low Overtown Kilmacolm. Alexander Lang married Agnes Mc Cuig ( have found several different spelling of this name, and are not certain if we have it correct) 1840 in East Parish Greenock. Children of this marriage were; Alexander b 1842 Greenock d 1920 Kiliwinning. He married in Kilwinning in 1882 Jessie Young (b 1852 Kilwinning ) d 1908 Kilwinning. John b 1842 Dumbarton d 1927 Christchurch New Zealand. He married Marion Miller. Susan b 1855 Garlochhead Dunbarton Joseph b 1860 Helensburgh Dunbarton There also maybe a William? The family of Alexander and Jessie Lang were; Jessie Barclay b 1884 Howgate Kilwinning Alexander b 1888 Howgate Kilwinning. His last known address was 27 Mansel Street Springburn Glasgow.
