Lois, Yes it has changed name - if you would look at a modern day map - West Croft St. was that small part of Abercorn St. running N. from junction with Old Sneddon St./Weir St. to the corner of North Croft St. South Croft St. is now Weir St. East Croft St. ran N. from the E. end of North Croft St.(when it used to extend further east than it does today) to the E. end of Niddry St. (East Croft therefore now a part of the Renfrew Rd.) Hi Jack, Thank you so much for explaining this so well. I have now found where West Croft Street would be on a modern map. You sound like you now a lot about Paisley streets. Would you possibly know what is/was at 108 George Street, Paisley? One of my McNaughts lived there in 1841. Was this an area for weavers? Any information greatly appreciated.
