Hi Wilma, I promised I'd look out for Lachlan Mcneil. I have found a reference to one but realise I could drive you nuts with continually finding the wrong one. What do you know about his likely date of birth, occupation, location and date of death. In other words what sightings do you have of him? Is he a rare name or are there loads of them out there? All I know so far is that he must have been old enough to produce a child of marriageable age in 1851 ie b 1831 or earlier, I assume he died before stat registration?
