Hi all, I'm still looking for the parents of my ggg-grandfather John FLEMING born sometime between 1800 - 1810. He may be connected to George FLEMING and Jean PEACOCK but I have no tangible evidence to prove it. On the circumstantial side of things. 1. Johns oldest son my gg-grandfather was Named George. 2. Of George and Jeans other children there were a George and Jean. These names also appear in the IGI Neilston parish marriages Where my John Fleming and his wife Mary Ann Kirland were Married (Or at least The Banns was proclaimed there). I failed to find John and Mary Ann on the 1841 census for Barrhead(Newton Ralston) Where Mary Ann and children were on the 1851 Census. It appears John was Dead by 1851 as Mary Ann was listed as widow. Death was probabaly sometime 1850 as last child was 8 months old on 1851 Census. Thats what I have to date I am currnetly looking through the 1841 census for Paisley Where George and Jeans Children were all christened in hopes the may have moved temporarily. Their John was listed as being Christened as 08 Apr 1802. There was another John listed for them b. in 1799, I'm guessing this one must have died.
