Hello Listers, I am trying to find the birth and parents of Alexander Brown. He was supposed to have been born in Carnwath about 1770-80? I have no parents names. He entered Divinity Hall in 1797, and joined the Associate Presbytery. Was licensed in 1801 and called to Burntshields, Renfrewshire. Married Janet Barr in 1802 and died in 1819. Was buried under the Communion Table. The church has gone but a monument stands on the spot. Children were: Jeanie, Elizabeth, Isobel, Margaret, Janet and John. Can anyone help me with this task?
