My Grandmother Margaret HANNA age 15, and her elder sister Catherine HANNA age 23, were listed in the 1881 census of East Greenock as Cutter in Pottery and Pottery Worker respectively. Both born in Port Glasgow. Are there any records to trace the place they were employed. In 1871 they are with their parents at 7 Custom house Lane, Port Glasgow 1881 residing at 11 Main Street, East Greenock Their parents my Gt. Grandparents James HANNA born Ireland abt 1832 and Mary McAlonan born Ireland, where unknown. James was killed in an accident in the Park Shipyard, Whiteinch, Partick 1884. Mary died In Salford, Lancashire, 1899. I would be pleased to hear from anyone interested. Kindest Regards George in NZ
